Overview

This document details the Beta release of our Data Integration Module (DIM) 6.4 as part of the Field2Base Integration Suite.  

New Features

• Add Automated Update Process to the DIM [DIM-39]
  An Update Available button in the ribbon of the DIM Service Admin alerts users when there's a new version of the Field2Base Data Integration Module. Clicking the button downloads and launches the upgrade installer.
  
  
• Update the DIM Installer to Preserve Customer Files and Settings during the Upgrade Process [DIM-38]
  Custom DIM configuration such as e-mail alert settings can be preserved during upgrades by putting them in a separate config.xml file. Custom DIM service configuration such as changing the Windows account for the service will be retained in the future when upgrading from DIM 6.4.4 or later.
  
  
• Create Kill Switch for DIM [DIM-37]
  Each DIM installation must be activated by a company administrator with the company API key. This allows better remote management of DIM installations including suspending and disabling installations that should not be active.
