We invite specific customers to access to pre-released software prior to General Availability in order to get early feedback from crucial customers and make any necessary adjustments to an upcoming release.
Who gets Field2Base Beta Access?
Customers identified by Product Management and Customer Success who are most likely to accept Beta software for testing and provide valid, relevant, and timely feedback, including customers using specific platforms that are included in a specific Beta release. Identified customers will receive clear instructions on what is included in the Beta, how to download the software, show Beta as part of the release label and within the F2B Web Admin Portal. The customers in turn selects their top users for priority access and feedback. Each Beta includes documentation with features and fixes included in the release. The documentation will be included with the Beta invitation for review by the customer for acceptance into the Beta program.
F2B Beta Quality Expectations
As a F2B Beta is an incomplete version of our software. It may contain errors, inaccuracies, and may not function as well as commercially released software. Although we will do our best to make corrections and address issues quickly, it is likely some items may not be addressed until the GA version. The GA version will contain changes and updates based on the Beta feedback as appropriate. Of course, a Beta customer is welcome to re-install a prior version if the Beta is not functioning for their needs.
How are issues with F2B Beta reported?
Customers on a F2B Beta version can use the same channels as if they were on a GA version, by contacting our F2B Support team at firstname.lastname@example.org. There are Beta Indicators that allow items to be triaged separately from the general queue. Product Management is responsible for reviewing Beta tickets for triage and consideration before the product becomes GA.
How long is a F2B Beta period?
Customers will be invited to a F2B Beta prior to Beta availability. Beta period can vary based on the contents of the changes and improvements. After the Beta period expires and the improvements and feedback are considered, a GA version will be made available shortly thereafter.
